Vittles Desserts has been manufacturing desserts for over 18 years supplying food service wholesalers with desserts for the caterer. The family business is based in Leicester, working in a modern purpose-built factory with BRC accreditation.

The products have been developed for the Caterer and Chef, we look carefully at how the products will be used and have produced a range of products that meet the caterer’s needs.

Printed leaflets and brochures: These are available free to all wholesalers, they can be especially designed to feature the products you pick from our range. They are an important tool for your sales force as usually it is the first introduction your customer has of a Vittles product.

Vouchers: We have found, from talking to our wholesalers, that Voucher are a great sales incentive for their sales teams. Simple to administer for yourself, we offer a voucher for each Vittles product you sell.

Free Product: Simple, you have a customer who is interested in Vittles products, and we will refund any samples you give away to gain that account, not only that, but we have found the best way to get new customers is to offer Sample Boxes we consider this the most successful way of opening new accounts.

Sales Force/Field Support: This has proved popular with many of our wholesalers, our sales team working closely with your sales team and your customers. This enables your customers to talk directly with the manufacturer thus allowing them to get the products they need. Many of our wholesalers have used this service and had quite amazing results. For example, one of our wholesalers invited us to visit a large hotel, the chef was looking for a new individual product for his menu, we developed this within a week, the chef was so impressed that he changed all his menus using only our products.

Ra Ra Days: Many wholesalers use these days to inform their sales teams about new products, this is also a great way of meeting the Vittles team and learning more about our products. We, in turn, find it very useful to learn about your company and how you work, this enables us to improve our products and service to you.

Shows: This is a great way to meet our customers, they get to see our products and meet the Vittles team, during these exhibitions we gather a great many leads from caterers which we pass onto you the wholesaler. We also support wholesaler individual exhibitions, again this is a great way for your customers and sales staff to try our products.

Pre sliced products – Strong growth

4 years ago we hardly Pre-Sliced any products now all new products that we develop are created with this in mind. We have machines capable of multi-portion slicing and interleaving, this makes portion control for the caterer an essential part of managing their costs.

Secure durable Packaging: A concern of many wholesalers is the quality of the packaging, you need to know that when your customer orders a product, it will reach them in perfect condition. Our boxes are made from corrugated board, the products are securely held in place with collars, individual desserts are packed in their own individual plastic tray surrounded by a clear plastic collar.

High Quality Ingredients: Our products contain only the finest ingredients, Fresh cream is used in all our Chocolate and Fruit mousses, we do not use compounds or concentrate in our Chocolate and fruit mousses, on Belgium Chocolate and Real Fruit purees, this gives all our products a clean, fresh taste. Our cheesecakes are made using fresh Full Fat Cream Cheese, Fresh Cream, Pasteurised Eggs and Sugar. All our products are made the same way that a professional Chef would make them, the difference being, we make them on a much larger scale with close attention to hygiene rules and regulations.

Quality Assurance: You and your customer need to know that the products you buy are safe to eat, we spend a great deal of time on ensuring all our products are to the highest standards. All our production staff have the basic food hygiene certificate and the factory is BRC accredited. All products can be traced, should there be a problem, using our specially designed software that monitors all the products being made. We have a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager who can assist your customer with any technical information on our products.

Award Winning: Over the years we have won many awards for our products and our business, only last year we won overall winner of the Hotel and Caterer Excellence in Food and Drink awards, this year our Individual Panna Cotta won best in show award at IFEX. We have also won an award for our Summer Fruit Cheesecake which won Bronze Great Taste Award.

Interactive Web Site: Your customers are able to log on to our web site and view videos on how to present Vittles products, also recipes and menu examples. We encourage customers to contact us and we offer a free sample to all caters, these leads are then passed on to you the wholesaler, our pay per click campaign is proving highly successful in attracting new business that we will then pass onto our wholesalers.
