The Pride, The Passion, The Team

Vittles has been manufacturing desserts for caterers for the past 19 years. The company was founded by managing director Martin Zalesny and sales director Julie Zalesny. Martin is a former chef who trained in some of the leading hotels and restaurants in the UK.

Ours is a tight-knit team who are dedicated to providing dessert menu solutions to the hospitality industry. We work closely with wholesalers, chefs, hotels and restaurant groups to find products that fit their expectations as well as those of their customers.

Manufacture is based at our purpose-built, BRC grade A approved factory. We use advanced HACCP and quality systems that enable us to track items throughout production, thus giving customers assurance that their products will be made to the same high standards every time.

The foundation of the business is product development. Close partnerships have been formed with our customers, sales force and product development team to enable us to produce a high standard of product in very short lead times.

Peter Simpson heads the product development, liaising with customers to ensure quality and affordable costs are delivered.

Julie Zalesny heads up the sales team, and works closely with Peter on product development.

The Process

  • Mark looks after the cake and dessert ingredients

    Mark looks after all the ingredients, making certain that each one is weighed correctly to ensure the finished product is exactly the same each time.

  • Liam creats the basic parts of the cakes

    It then moves on to Liam who runs the bakery. His team start the process, making all the basic parts of the dessert, like the cheesecake bases, cakes and sponges...

  • Nicky applies cream ot the desserts

    Then it moves to Nicky, whose team whip all the cream and assemble the dessert...

  • Hayley looks after dessert hand finishing

    Hayley and her team look after hand finishing. Each product is hand decorated and then blast frozen to make sure that it remains just the same after defrosting...

  • Pam looks after dessert boxing

    Pam takes care of the boxing and labelling. It's then given to the boys in the stores who make sure it gets to you safe and sound...
